MACRODOX is a high-quality water-soluble antibiotic formulation designed for the effective treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections in livestock and poultry. The combination of Tylosin Tartrate and Doxycycline Hyclate provides additive antibacterial action against a wide range of sensitive micro-organisms. Its broad-spectrum activity makes it suitable for use in calves, goats, sheep, and poultry.<\/p>\n

Doxycycline belongs to the tetracycline group and acts bacteriostatically against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including Bordetella, Campylobacter, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus species. It is also effective against Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, and Rickettsia species. Doxycycline works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and has a strong affinity for lung tissue, making it highly effective for respiratory infections.<\/p>\n
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic with bacteriostatic activity against various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including Campylobacter, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Treponema species, and Mycoplasma.<\/p>\n
MACRODOX is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by tylosin and doxycycline sensitive micro-organisms including Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Treponema species in calves, goats, poultry, and sheep.<\/p>\n
Do not use in animals hypersensitive to tetracyclines or tylosin.
\nAvoid administration to animals with seriously impaired hepatic function.
\nDo not administer concurrently with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones, or cycloserine.
\nNot recommended for animals with active microbial digestion.<\/p>\n
Discoloration of teeth may occur in young animals.
\nHypersensitivity reactions may occur.
\nDiarrhoea may occasionally develop during treatment.<\/p>\n

Twice daily, 5 g per 100 kg body weight for 3\u20135 days.<\/p>\n
1 g per 2\u20134 litres of drinking water for 3\u20135 days.<\/p>\n
