DOXIMAC-C is a high-quality water-soluble veterinary formulation designed for the effective treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal infections in livestock and poultry. The powerful combination of Doxycycline HCl, Tylosin Tartrate, Colistin Sulfate, and Bromhexine provides broad-spectrum antibacterial coverage along with mucolytic support to improve respiratory function and mucus clearance.<\/p>\n

Composition<\/h5>\n

Each kilogram contains:
\nTylosin Tartrate \u2013 100 g
\nDoxycycline HCl \u2013 200 g
\nColistin Sulfate \u2013 400 MIU
\nBromhexine \u2013 3 g<\/p>\n

Description<\/h5>\n

The combination of tylosin and doxycycline provides additive antibacterial activity. Doxycycline belongs to the tetracycline group and acts bacteriostatically against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including Bordetella, Campylobacter, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus species. It is also effective against Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, and Rickettsia species. Doxycycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and has a strong affinity for lung tissue, making it highly effective for respiratory infections.<\/p>\n

Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic with bacteriostatic activity against several Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including Campylobacter, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Treponema species, and Mycoplasma.<\/p>\n

Bromhexine and its metabolite ambroxol are widely used for their mucolytic properties. They help stimulate surfactant release, regulate mucus production, and facilitate expectoration for improved respiratory function.<\/p>\n

Colistin is a polymyxin antibiotic with bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacteria including E. coli, Haemophilus, and Salmonella species. It disrupts bacterial cell membranes and neutralizes endotoxins produced by Gram-negative bacteria.<\/p>\n

Indications<\/h5>\n

DOXIMAC-C is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by tylosin and doxycycline sensitive micro-organisms including Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Treponema species in calves, goats, poultry, and sheep.<\/p>\n

Contra indications<\/h5>\n

Do not use in animals hypersensitive to tetracyclines, tylosin, colistin, or bromhexine.
\nAvoid administration to animals with seriously impaired hepatic function.
\nDo not administer concurrently with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones, or cycloserine.
\nNot recommended for animals with active microbial digestion.<\/p>\n

Side effects<\/h5>\n

Discoloration of teeth may occur in young animals.
\nHypersensitivity reactions may occur.
\nDiarrhoea may occasionally develop during treatment.<\/p>\n

Dosage<\/h5>\n

Calves, sheep and goats<\/h5>\n

Twice daily, 5 g per 100 kg body weight for 3\u20135 days.<\/p>\n

Poultry<\/h5>\n

1 g per 2\u20134 litres of drinking water for 3\u20135 days.<\/p>\n

Withdrawal times<\/h5>\n

For meat:

\nSwine: 8 days
